Made from durable, rust-resistant steel with a sleek nickel finish, it features pre-drilled holes spaced every 2 inches for strong, even fastening. Its fixed, non-removable pin enhances security, while the hinge can be easily cut to fit custom sizes. Ideal for professional-grade cabinetry, toolboxes, and furniture projects requiring smooth, reliable motion and lasting durability. ## Description Product Description Hillman Continuous Piano Hinges support a door, lid, or panel along its entire edge rather than at a few separate points. Because the hinge runs the full length of the joint, it spreads weight evenly, reduces stress on the screws, and keeps the moving part hanging straight and swinging smoothly, which is why it is the go-to choice wherever sag-free, consistent motion matters. This hinge measures twenty-four inches long with a one and one-quarter inch open width and has screw holes spaced down both leaves for a strong, even hold. If your opening is narrower, the hinge can be cut down to length with a hacksaw and filed smooth, so one part fits a range of doors, lids, and cabinet openings without special tools. Built from sturdy steel with a nickel finish, the hinge resists rust and wear and keeps a clean, uniform appearance along the seam. The continuous knuckle turns smoothly and quietly, and the long bearing surface holds up to repeated opening and closing far better than a pair of small hinges on a heavy or frequently used door. Use this piano hinge for doors, toolbox and chest lids, cabinets, workbenches, fold-down desks, and folding partitions where a smooth, full-length pivot is wanted. Predrill the screw holes and fasten down both leaves for the strongest hold. It is a dependable upgrade for shop, home, and furniture projects around the house and garage. From the Manufacturer Continuous Hinges are designed to help fasten work bins, storage boxes, folding tables, cabinets, tool sheds, chests and other objects. Pre-drilled holes are staggered in 2" increments for strength. Fixed pin is non-removable. Surface mounted for easy installation. A continuous hinge is also referred to as a "Piano Hinge." They are easy to install and made from durable steel. Review: Great Hinge (but included screws are short) - Nice hinge, easy to install. The only downside is the the screws that come along are super short, since I was screwing through fabric and light batting, I used a mix of the included screws and some longer ones of my own to ensure it was secure. Review: I'd buy another - Works as designed. The screws weren't vary large but given the number of them it holds just fine. ## Features - Robust design ensures hinges hold up to your standards - Surface mounted for ease of installation, no mortising is required - Size: 24" x 1-1/4" - Can be cut to accommodate different sizes - Made of a durable rust resistant steel material - Fixed pin is non-removable for security - Silver Finish ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00GI1CWHO | | Best Sellers Rank | #343,518 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #1,387 in Door Hinges | | Brand | Hardware Essentials | | Brand Name | Hardware Essentials | | Color | Nickel | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 551 Reviews | | Finish Type | Nickel | | Finish Types | Nickel | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00008236862140 | | Hole Count | 1 | | Included Components | hinge, mounting hardware | | Item Dimensions L x W | 24"L x 1.25"W | | Item Type Name | hinges | | Manufacturer | The Hillman Group | | Manufacturer Part Number | 851063 | | Material | Steel | | Material Type | Steel | | Model Number | 851063 | | Mounting Type | Surface Mount | | Product Dimensions | 24"L x 1.25"W | | UPC | 008236862140 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Hardware Essentials - **Color:** Nickel - **Finish Type:** Nickel - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00008236862140 - **Hole Count:** 1 - **Manufacturer:** The Hillman Group - **Material:** Steel - **Mounting Type:** Surface Mount - **Product Dimensions:** 24"L x 1.25"W - **Unit Count:** 1.0 Count ## Images ![Hillman Nickel-Plated Steel Continuous Piano Hinge, 24 x 1-1/4 In - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61SIthicc4L.jpg) ![Hillman Nickel-Plated Steel Continuous Piano Hinge, 24 x 1-1/4 In - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91zrFqq+xRL.jpg) ![Hillman Nickel-Plated Steel Continuous Piano Hinge, 24 x 1-1/4 In - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81KSRPRZJdL.jpg) ![Hillman Nickel-Plated Steel Continuous Piano Hinge, 24 x 1-1/4 In - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81jkguCtuWL.jpg) ![Hillman Nickel-Plated Steel Continuous Piano Hinge, 24 x 1-1/4 In - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8145m8hyXML.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Hinge (but included screws are short) *by C***R on September 21, 2023* Nice hinge, easy to install.
