## Questions & Answers

**Q: The temperature of the heat mat doesn't get any higher than 20°c. Is this normal? I need at least 26°c.**
A: I’ve placed mine on a plastic crate, It stays within .7 of the 28 degrees I’ve set it at. The chilli seeds have started to germinate!

**Q: was wondering if you’d think this would work outside in a guineapig cage under glass ??**
A: When I had it inside a cold house temp setting I had to set it at 27c to have the temps to stable at 21c. I believe you would have to have it on all day.

**Q: can this be used constantly over the period of two weeks if rooting cuttings with the thermostat controller**
A: Absolutely! I created a heatbed using pumice and a layer of plastic over the heat mat and it’s currently been on for 3 weeks and I’m planning to keep it on until the end of February

**Q: My seed at never reaches the set temperature. How do I contact seller for replacement?**
A: Its not the seller, you need to turn it up to 26c or higher to get a 20 to 21c reading on the seed tray and check it, i jist answered a question on here that should help you.

Soil in a 10 inch pot will not heat up to the same temps from the bottom of the pot and the surface of the pot, just in case you are using pots to plant your seeds.
