## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A heavy duty, rugged flip phone
*by on Reviewed in the United States August 11, 2025*

This phone is a much heavier duty version of my (till now) current phone. I first charged the battery to full, and took both phones to the local Verizon store. The tech was able to transfer my phone number, sim card and contacts to the new phone. No charge, to my surprise. Although "refurbished", the phone is like new inside and out. All features and functions operate perfectly.I use flip phones only, and they have a hard life in my pocket as a Groundskeeper. The slim Kyocera phone this is replacing was six years old, still functioning. I switched as a precaution to assure not loosing valuable contact info should the old one fail, it's happened to me before. This new "Extreme Duty" phone is far more rugged than the old one, I expect it to last for many years. This was an excellent purchase and smart investment from my perspective, very pleased.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy and easy to use
*by on Reviewed in the United States February 25, 2026*

Fairly easy to use, and sturdy enough to not need a protective case. This product has been dropped, thrown, had water spilled on it, and was chewed on by a toddler, with no damage. Fairly easy to text with, and sound is OK. Compatible with our Verizon plan. Smaller than most smartphones and larger than most other flip phones; a little heavy in the pocket but manageable. Our previous phone of this type had problems charging its battery, but this one is fine so far (several months after start of use). Probably the best phone available for those who don't want a smartphone.

### ⭐ Defective device and subpar seller
*by on Reviewed in the United States September 30, 2026*

I purchased a Kyocera DuraXV for my 75-year-old father, who has health concerns and relies on this phone for communication and emergencies. The phone unexpectedly shut down in the middle of a call and is now stuck on the Kyocera loading screen and will not fully power on.I contacted Amazon on 9-24 and was told a replacement would be sent. The replacement was expected to be delivered 9-30, but it has still not shipped. This is extremely concerning because my elderly father is currently without a reliable working cell phone. After some back and forth, the seller doesn’t seem to be interested in correcting the situation by sending a replacement phone. Amazon has requested him twice in chat to send a replacement but the seller claims he “can’t print a label or see the return.” Seller mentioned that I’ve already left a negative review and they will “ship the phone if they can.”
