Two of the main features of these are: - By rotating the yellow collars, it allows you to open a hole in the line to reduce the amount of suction pulling from the tool. Assuming you have more of Cen-Tec Systems' adapters attached to your other tools. I've even used one of the adapters on my Sebo X4's Vacuum attachments and it works. Not a 100% perfect seal, but there isn't enough of a loss of suction to be an issue, in my opinion. Overall construction of the hose is great. Adapters start fraying inside if you change them out alot.
