These look great in my aquarium, my son told me the other day that he thought my plants were fake, I guess because they were so vibrant and pretty! I ordered jungle Val’s, desertcart swords, and Java fern! I should also add that I didn’t get any hitchhikers either, i inspected for snails prior to adding to my tank and I did not find any. Three swords in 1 plastic bag with just enough moisture to keep them from drying out but also keep the box from becoming a soggy mess. I found that the box itself was a perfect size for my 2 (=6 individual plants) and allowed them to fit snugly/not fly around while in transit. I found that there was no heating or cooling pack, HOWEVER, my plants were in perfect condition. So, this didn’t seem to be a big deal for mine! Shipping: I’m from the Midwest. I got these desertcart Swords in December. 🫣you might see where this is going… By the time I was notified that my package was delivered to my post office, they were already closed for the day. I panicked, thinking about my poor plants all weekend, surely they would be dead by the time I can pick up my package right? Wrong again! I severely underestimated Marcus Fish Tanks. These aquatic plants sat in a cold, dark, post office for 3 DAYS (+however long it was on a truck) and were still bright green and didn’t have a single melt spot or any sign of stress. Not the best quality of plants. Check out my review and pictures for the 3 i recieved. But the size of mine ranged from 5-7 inches tall **Q: Can the roof just go in the water and the rest of the plant stay above water** A: The leaves will begin to turn yellow after some time of being out of the water. New leaves may grow if you use root tabs or a good soil at the roots (submerged). But I personally wouldn’t recommend growing out of water as you would just need to keep cutting off dead leaves every once in a while. If you don’t mind that, you can do it. The roots do need to be submerged to grow new leaves, however. **Q: I am very new to aquarium plants, anyone know why the leaves are slowly turning black??? what do i do now to save them?** A: I cut off the leaves that either melt or turn black. For any plant, when you first plant them, they will sacrifice a leaf or two until they are established. In all I purchased some Amazon sword, some Anubias, some Jungle Vallisneria and some hornwort. Everything arrived a week after it was shipped, and arrived online and seemingly healthy. I placed everything in my tanks and if you don't see an update to this you can assume everything is going well. The plants had great color and only mild discoloration and dead leaves primarily on the Jungle Vallisneria but it wasn't significant. As advertised I found my product was stuffed with extra plants, which was VERY appreciated. I think in all I got 3 extra anubias and my hornwort bag was stuffed to seems. I have purchased plants from quiet a few vendors on Amazon now for my aquariums, this was easily the best value and quality I have experienced. I would suggest using them. HOWEVER, if you are like me and stress over shipping living things. I would encourage paying for any shipping methods that doesn't utilize USPS. That was unfortunately the worst part of this experience, my delivery took way longer than deliveries from UPS, FedEx or Amazon.
