Especially if on a ladder by yourself. Since there's a foot of snow outside in my pictures I'm showing a chair- I can't get to my ladder. The oval shape works on any size ladder. The ledge that the ladder leg goes against it and is tall enough to keep the legs from sliding at all. This works inside and outside-- keeping my carpet or grass intact. The rubber on this is thick and strong-- surprised by its hefty weight. I find this to be such a great safety idea I'm giving this to my church handyman who often works alone. Perfect!! This should be an addition to any garage. There is a slight rubber smell that goes away in a couple days.Received in exchange for my honest opinion ### ⭐⭐⭐ Great product but it smells *by N***T on August 1, 2016* Great product as far as safety.
