The misrepresentation is with the Maddox rod end of the device. These come in two different designs. The one pictured is of superb quality; works well with little optical distortion; and cleans with alcohol wipes without damage. The two that I received have a black holder on that end with a Maddox rod insert. This insert clouded and was completely ruined the first time we cleaned it with an alcohol wipe. It is now rendered worthless. Beware when ordering that you will.
