Changing review from 1 to 4 stars EDIT: After fiddling with this mill some more we managed to get the bottom open for refilling purposes with the help of pliers which I really wanted to avoid. I understand the need to make the lid not randomly fall out but the design of the lid needs some rethinking. It is a plastic lid in a plastic thread. So far, the mill appears to work well. __________ Unfortunately it is impossible to say whether it is more than eye candy as the bottom does not twist open to be filled. The bottom lid only budges a bit to the right and left but not a lot and cannot be pulled out. So disappointed as the idea seems great but the plastic screw in bottom and the wood don't seem compatible.
