I also used it another hook to hang one of those ikea lamps from the ceiling and it works like a charm. These are a game changer for me, no more nails in walls!! I even used on textured orange peel wall... I did let them sit overnight before I added the curtains and hanging lamp.. Not sure about removal yet but I suggest a flat razor tool with a nice handle and some wd40 when your ready.
