We had to make two small tweaks to the Fasting Salts formulation for the capsules format 1) Slightly reduced the amount of potassium due to FDA requirements for electrolyte capsule products 2) Added a small amount of calcium carbonate as a bulking agent to enable machine encapsulation. This ingredient is also a natural electrolyte salt and will not interfere with your autophagy or ketosis. Do I have to take 24 capsules per day? 24 capsules per day is the maximum upper limit per day for Extended Fasting. Most people take less than that. For IF/Keto, the dosage is much smaller, up to 3 capsules per day. We are all different. Your exact electrolyte requirements depend on your genetics, lifestyle, electrolyte content of your drinking water and many other factors. That's why we provide the guideline dosage as a range.
