I found that it only takes about 1.5 GPM (Gallons Per Minute) to get full voltage output. It lights up a 12 VDC LED light quite well at that water flow. I believe that I was pushing that flow through the device at about 20 Ft. Perfect fitment with the exception of the electrical connector, which I swapped out from the original. It does make a bit of a whine, slightly different from the previous unit. Not loud, just different. It generates at a fairly low flow rate, something I appreciate because I take long, slow, hot showers as therapy.
