It's a combo of Pea Protein and Brown Rice Protein. I find nearly every vegan protein to be incredibly gritty. This is a little gritty, but not that bad. It's actually one of the lesser grit ones I've had. The taste is pretty bad, but not awful. It's unflavored and I prefer my protein to be unflavored. I use this for health reasons, not to have my protein shakes taste like candy. I take 4 scoops of this (50g protein) along with 1-2 TBSP of MCT Oil before bed, and upon rising. It's been a routine that I very much enjoy. My only beef is the price. It's not cheap. I thought I was getting 2 lbs when I bought it, but sadly, I only got 1 lb. I misread the item description like an idiot. All in all, it's a pretty good vegan protein option. No junk, no fillers, no fake sweeteners (like stevia, lo han fruit, xylitol, etc).
