Take on new trail challenges with the Axum mountain bike by Schwinn. Great for rough terrain and cross country (XC) trails, the Axum features a light Schwinn aluminum frame and suspension fork. The 100 mm travel front suspension fork with lockout absorbs bumps on the trail for a more comfortable ride. Meanwhile, the 'dropper' post lets you adjust your seat post as you ride, up for climbing, down for descending performance. The post is a mechanically actuated Kindshock EXA 900i seat post, cable actuated with 125 mm of travel and a thumb remote lever, 30.9mm seatpost diameter. 8 speeds with trigger shifters make it easy to adapt to your terrain with quick, precise gear changes, while the front and rear mechanical disc brakes deliver all-condition stopping power. Plus, the Axum’s large 29'er 2.6 inch wide mountain tires make it easy to roll over just about anything. Take your ride to the next level with the Axum. Enjoy the freedom of riding a Schwinn!

Right bike, wrong price
This hard tail has a quality aluminum frame, 1x drive train, tapered head tube, a dropper post, and modern geometry. The problem with this bike here is the price. You can get this bike at Walmart for $498 bucks. Not worth the price they’re asking for it here. If you can do without the dropper for now, you can get the base model for $398 at Walmart. Nice beginner bike that is very upgradable.
