The powder puff is good to use when setting the makeup in the morning. This color matches my skin color very well, thankfully and I'm even able to use this when I'm pale during the Winter months and also when I'm tanner in the Summer months. When they say "blotting powder," they mean blotting powder. This is *not* a setting powder, and I see some other people that have been reviewing this product have been using it as such. This is meant for touch-ups throughout the day. I have combination skin and only use it on my t-zone and it works just fine. If you overdo it, it can be drying, too powdery, and/or be way too light. So far, this is the best blotting powder or powder in a compact for touch-ups that I have found, and I recommend it for that. You have to apply it sparingly though.
