The Good/Great: For the money, this is actually a terrific little player. I was going to initially get the AGPTEK A02, but stepped up to this model and am pleased with my choice for like 5-7 more dollars. I've used a P3000 by Bassplay for about 8 years now, which still works well by the way, but I wanted the options of an FM radio and Bluetooth for my earbuds. Another nice side option is the voice recorder, which i have not tried yet. You can also record from FM Radio, again, a nice little feature I may or may not use. Sound quality is terrific and you will definitely notice the sound difference between your FLAC and lower quality MP3 recordings. Weight's not an issue for me, either way, as I use this device in my car, directly into my AUX. The build is solid and the glass front with touch buttons is nicer than I expected. The menu is right there on the home screen, but it takes some getting used to and does not include all features and functions. You actually have to be "in" the music to see "Random, Repeat, etc" functions. This is the same with the equalizer settings. The first thing I did after loading up all my music was to connect my BT earbud and I had to crank up the volume all the way to hear the music at a normal level (not sure if this is due to my year-old earbuds or the device itself). I have not tried the included wired earbuds yet, but I do know they are required as the antenna for the FM radio. Supposedly you can save FM presets, but again, the instructions are bare minimum, and I can't figure out how to save the presets yet. Otherwise, it scans for all stations every time you try to use the radio. Summation: I love this device and I love that I spent under $40 for it. I'm getting a whole ton of bang for my buck. I was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews, but a few of them appear to be incorrect. For example, some reviewers claim the device cannot be turned off, which is simply not true. It can be powered down without any issue. Other reviews mention problems with the screen cracking. I cannot speak to long term durability yet, but the build quality seems reasonably solid for a device in this price range. As for reports of screen failures, that is something I will only be able to judge after using it for a longer period of time. Pairing with my Bluetooth devices was quick and trouble free. The lanyard included with the player is fairly cheap, but considering the low cost of the device it is not a big concern. One clear downside is the data transfer speed. File transfers are very slow, roughly between 800 KB/s and 2 MB/s. It also does not seem to connect reliably to a USB 3.0 port and works better when plugged into a USB 2.0 port. The operating system is very basic, so do not expect a modern or particularly intuitive interface. The screen quality is also fairly average, but that is not a dealbreaker for my use case.
