I don't own and official surface pro keyboard I have the Fintie Backlit keyboard for the Pro 7 and the cover fits on this keyboard just fine. I prefer to watch media on my device and having this cover on while I am munching on snacks and drinking beverages is nice to know that there is a layer of protection on the keyboard. I love the fact that I have a Bluetooth keyboard because I can wipe it down and wipe the keyboard protector and it does exactly what it should which is keeping the keys from getting dirty or messy. It can be a bit snug typing as the cover does make the keys stiff but you do get a bit used to it so do keep this in mind. The delivery was fast with prime and it came with nice packaging which is a good sign. The cover is super thin so I have to wait and see how well is the durability, but I really don't see any major issue if you're somewhat careful with it. The fit is PERFECT and it doesn't move around or even come off unless you wanted to. With the cover on the key travel will decrease slightly but really not by much due to how thin it is. I like this cuz the Surface Laptop has one of the nicest keyboard and it remains that way. With the cover on it makes it even quieter to type, but not like it was loud in the first place to begin with. I mean, I guess it makes it more durable, but it adds a challenge to type at my normal fast speeds, as there is a lot more resistance than I expected or hoped for, so even after getting used to it I still have more typos than without it.
