Review: One of the best - Amazing stuff. Looks better than epoxy with very low VOC, easy to apply once you get the hang of it, easy to repair, some self-healing ability. Use a sealer first, especially on soft woods, or you'll have to use way too much of this expensive product.
Review: Fabulous - Used this on our kitchen island butcher block counter top. It went on great and has held up great. Gives the wood a bit of an amber color and the satin sheen is gorgeous. We have had zero issues with food or water stains, and the clean up is simple. We went with the Water based finish due to this being in our kitchen. Odor was minimal. Very pleased. We have had this finish now for about 10 months. Based with two coats of the universal tung oil sealer.

**Q: Do you apply direclty to wood or need tung oil first?**
A: Waterloc sells a universal ting oil sealer u can apply first.

**Q: Is this good for wood floors?**
A: according to the instructions it can be used on wood floors .I use it on cabinets. It goes on easier on horizonal surfaces then vertical. the result is the same just a slower process.

**Q: can this be applied to previously stain wood?**
A: I don’t think it will dry properly. We tried it and couldn’t get it to dry ever…had to scrape it off the wood surface

**Q: Is this compatible with teak wood?**
A: Teak oil would be better for teak, it is an oily wood, To be honest not sure if waterlox would work. Teak is a good outdoor wood when it’s kept oiled. Waterlox sealer may not hold up out doors. Waterlox along with the waterlox finish works great on walnut or mohagoy for in door projects.

This product is amazing. If you have done wood finishing in the past and never used this, it's not like most finishes and needs some time to get used to. I have been using it to finish interior doors and cabinets. This product is incredibly forgiving on application and very durable. I could not be more impressed. If you are a hobbyist and looking to finish a project, this is the stuff for you. Visit their website and be sure to read the application directions and follow them strictly. The picture attached is a knotty alder door with 4 coats of semi-gloss applied with a foam brush.
