It melts cleanly — no weird spitting or burning — and the rosin core flows nicely around joints without you having to wrestle it. I used it on a couple of small component repairs and some LED wires and it grabbed well every time.The wire thickness is spot on for detailed stuff; not too chunky, not so thin that it snaps. The Sn99.3/Cu0.7 mix behaves really predictably once it’s heated, which is exactly what you want if you’re trying not to fry a tiny board.It’s only a 20g roll so you’ll get through it quicker than you’d think, but for little DIY jobs, repairs, or hobby electronics it’s ideal.
