Clear monofilament for bass fishing. This rod is an excellent on for plastic worm fishing the tip action and sensitivity is outstanding. It has a good strong ridged back for strong hook sets too. **Q: Can you catch a salmon with the rod** A: This rod is an ultralight. It is designed to catch small fish such as crappie, bluegill and perch.
