Then I learned that I needed a step-down device in order to play it. It would be helpful if Amazon displayed an appropriate step-down device along with the machine for Indian buyers. Now my step-down device has arrived and my initial trials with the machine are good. I want to listen mainly to audio disc's and the sound quality and volume control are good. I also like that the control panel is simple and easy to operate. We primarily needed a home-based DVD player for my toddler's use. But something with the added functionality that could come in handy on the move. For ex- in the car, or whilst traveling on the train or plane where WiFi networks may be absent or iffy. This ieGeek player delivers superbly on all the above. It also has a very robust in-built speaker system that has proper sound. The LCD panel swivels, so that's nice as well. We have not used it as a game controller yet, but the functions are available, and should we choose to order the gaming joysticks etc, it will be useful later on. In all, it's been a solid experience.
