Hope this helps! **Q: Is this helpful for anterior pelvic tilt? Would love to be able to lay on my back without pain or walk without pinching lower back muscles.** A: I can't say for certain since I do not have that condition, but I imagine it would help a lot. It basically cradles the sacrum, like pushing it up, so that everything around it relaxes back to a neutral position, as it should be. Over time it teaches your body to realign properly without causing injury or added strain anywhere else. I have a mild tilt, many pinches nerves and vertebrae out of place, and I've found that this has helped a lot. I also wear a sacroiliac belt by day & often sleep in it, which I highly recommend, as it forces your body to use the correct muscles when standing or walking. The Wedgy does too, but after you get up you may fall back into bad habits, so use it daily. I like both as they seem to be complimentary. Hope that helps. **Q: When I lay on the floor and use this, my pelvis tilts forward and arches my back. This leaves a gaping space between my floor and spine. Is this right** A: Actually that is the psoas trying to release and is how this process works. Just relax and let it happen - try to have NO muscle engaged anywhere just for a while. If you need to, bend both knees and do 2 or 3 pelvic tilts where you very slowly curve to the floor - flatten your back - and hold 5 or 6 seconds and do a few of these then straighten your legs to relax. Just sounds like you have a tight psoas muscle - call if you need to or have more questions. I travel a good bit and don't always see this daily. I've never tried putting a ball directly on my spine though. I usually use it on one side or the other. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Relief after four days!!! *by on Reviewed in the United States January 7, 2016* I have suffered from sacrum pain ever since delivering my daughter, 16 years ago. Over the years, it progressed to sciatica and I have had an extrememly difficult time sleeping. I saw medical doctors (who suggested surgery), chiropractors (some relief) and physical therapists (some relief) and even got massages, but none of these solved the problems. I got the Sacro Wedgy and just laid on it for first two days. I had quite a bit of discomfort at first (as many other reviewers have mentioned.) On the third day, I started doing some of the stretches they suggested. And on the fourth day, while stretching, I heard a "clunk." Ever since then, I have been practically pain free! At first (after the "clunk") many of my hip muscles were sore, but I could tell it was a "good" sore. Apparently something had popped back into place and the muscles were not used to stretching that much. After a few days of soreness, I felt like new. I sleep so much better, And I don't have hip/buttock/sciatica pain any more. Now when I use the Sacro Wedgy, it doesn't feel uncomfortable. I guess when everything is in its proper place, it doesn't hurt. It has been about two weeks since I bought the Sacro Wedgy, and I am still using it every night because I don't want my body to go back to the way it was. But I anticipate that I will not need to use it as often in the future. Great results! Fantastic product! Thank you, Sacro Wedgy! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for sacral self correction. *by on Reviewed in the United States October 25, 2025* I’m a PT with a SI issue and this thing is great for self correcting sacral torsions or sidebent sacrum. It is firm to lie on so it may be uncomfortable if your SI is hypersensitive. You can start without the black foam base or pad it with a towel. You need to lie on a hard surface (like the floor or table) for it to work properly. It can’t correct a inominate compensation, so correct that after you use it with self stretching after. I do recommend this for my patients that need intermittent correction for a sacral issue. I highly recommend anyone with an SI issue to see a PT that specializes in SI for their condition because this area is a dumping ground for pain and a lot of structures refer to this area. Your SI can compensate for a hip, leg, back issue, or gait disorder so it is important to get that assessed and addressed first to find the mechanical cause of your pain. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Doesn’t look like much, but is impressive *by on Reviewed in the United States December 13, 2025* Impressive.
