So I want the main lights to be on the left and close to me when I enter the van ( also turns off by a connected dimmer switch elsewhere) and then I have my fan second and my kitchen lights on the far right (since it's closest to my hands while I'm turned the other way and stepped up into the kitchen space. So, the 3rd switch is left open which is a bit more easily accessible while standing inside the space, and up the step of the van. The fans are left on much of the time your in it, so that's why I have it close to the main lights to hit when you enter (it won't need to be closer to the living space area and accessed that way because I won't be turning them off until I leave!) So that's just my own example. Think about I'd you want that blue light on or off (especially if you will be sleeping nearby it or in a small space near it (van?) ya.. probably want that idle mode light to be turned off , and that's a really easy disconnect of 4 wires I believe.) Wish this company made dimmers, or do they? I had swapped out a few and made a custom mount for my truck. All the switches are normal rockers and can be swapped for whatever rocker switch you want. **Q: Why does it illuminate when no ground is attached?** A: Because you are grounding through whatever you are hooked to **Q: Are they fuse protected?** A: They don't come with a fuse. But I power them with an add-a-fuse from the fuse box anyway. **Q: Can the switch covers be swapped out with other covers? (example - Contura V?)** A: As long as they fit the definitions on the plate which most rocker switches do, they can be switched out.
