I bought this jacket for work, I have a nice Sherpa lined rain defender Carhartt sweater but I knew wearing it to work (I’m a plumber) would snag and possibly ruin the outside. This material feels a lot more abrasion resistant and will hold up for my line of work. I live in Florida, and although it doesn’t snow where I live, it’s not uncommon for the temperatures to drop below freezing early in the morning and feel like the high 20’s. I love the blanket lining and it is VERY warm (for me at least). I bought a large and I’m glad that I did. A medium would have definitely fit better (I’m 6’0, 185 athletic build with broader shoulders than average) but my wife and I do like to vacation in colder areas and having this in a large will allow me to layer if needed. The length isn’t that short cut because the jacket is a relaxed fit and fits loosely. As a service plumber it looks professional and in my opinion can be dressed up and worn out to dinner or a night out in the town or dressed down through rough working environments.
