It can jam but it is easily fixed and you can move to the next slide. For the cost, this item is great and did exactly what I needed. **Q: What is the button sequence to push to get it to work for slides?** A: The first issue is make sure you have an SD memory disc plugged into the back. Almost all the functions are dependent on the SD disc being in place. You need to change the view to color which I think is the first thing you come to in the menu. Everything else can work at the rest of the settings. The only other one the I use is changing the picture from 5M to 10M. The 10M setting will give you a better more detailed picture. The camera button is the button you press to save the slide. That’s about it. If you have more questions feel free to ask. **Q: What kind of sd card do I order for this? I have some big and little ones here.** A: I am having trouble ordering a smaller style memory card. Any suggestions. The chips I have are the larger type. Please help me with this problem **Q: Digitizing 1000+slides: anyone help me figure out how to do it smoothly with the stacker? It sucks them in not straight orshoots it out the other side** A: Wow, big job. I had several hundred. I found that a lot depends upon the size and quality of the slides. I would stack 10 or 12 in the holder and then very slowly cycle them through. The "new" slide would displace the "old" one, but I had to find the right speed at which to operate the slide.
