I have some 'collaspible' funnels and that's what they do.. collapse. These DO NOT collapse! They appear to be stainless steel. I've washed them in the dishwasher many times, no problem. Nice to have two different sizes and a strainer. I use canning jars for storage to stay away from all the chemicals in most plastics and these funnels are invaluable when pouring leftovers and/or anything I'm prepping to freeze in my jars. There is a place for the silicone funnels I suppose, but right now, these stainless funnels are my go tos. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source.
