A: It requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included).

**Q: Can you plug this into electrics as well as batterie**
A: No it's just batteries but it last very well when been kept on all night most  nights

**Q: Does it auto turn off by itself after set time?**
A: No, it has a push in button in the back that you physically have to press in order to turn on or off. Therefore it is left on all night!

**Q: How long do batteries tend to last on average?**
A: Bought for my grandson, so really can't answer. I would think they last a while but that's just my opinion..

Very easy to use, simply screw off the battery compartment, pop in the batteries and re-attach, it is also incredibly lightweight. It operates off of a simple on/off button so it’s very easy for kids of any age to use. It functions fine so long as you put a good quality battery in it, it lasts a fair while, better yet if you own rechargeable batteries. The light is not the brightest, however this was bought with the intention of it being a nightlight for which it serves the purpose perfectly. It looks good as well, which you of course would hope for with it being official Minecraft merchandise. Some sharpish corners so it may not be perfect for very young kids, probably 3yrs+ Overall a solid purchase, especially if you want a nightlight and have a child that adores Minecraft.
