A practical pack of ten for fencing, garden builds, timber framing and repairs. Key Dimensions 160 mm long, 40 mm wide and 2 mm thick, with 16 holes of 5 mm diameter in a staggered pattern. Galvanised steel finish. Join Timber End to End Screw the plate across the joint to connect two lengths of timber, extend a batten or reinforce a weak section. Fence Rails and Posts Strengthen the joint between fence rails and posts, or repair a split rail without replacing the whole section. For Garden Builds and Repairs Use on raised beds, sheds, pergolas, gates and outdoor furniture. The galvanised coating helps protect the steel when used outdoors. 16 Fixing Holes The staggered hole pattern lets you choose fixing points that avoid knots and the end grain of the timber. Repair Cracked Rails, Posts & Timber Joints Don't replace a cracked fence rail – reinforce it. Each 160 Γ— 40 Γ— 2 mm galvanised steel plate has 16 pre-drilled 5 mm holes, so you can screw it across a split or butt joint on fences, gates, raised beds and garden frames. So yes, they will do the job. **Q: Can I use these to extend my wooden fence post please, as I wish to higher fence but not keen on putting new post in** A: I would not use these, would expect to fail to withstand the load e specially in winds, you can buy a metal post connector that fits on top of a post to achieve your objective which I did. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pack of 10pcs Flat Connecting Joining Plates Repair Connector Mending Galvanised Brace Bracket Perforated Metal Steel Sheet Timber Wood Fixing Heavy Duty 6" x 1.5" (160 x 40 x 2mm) - CUALITYX Angle Brackets for Wood Pack of 10 (70 x 70 x 55 x 1.5mm) - Heavy Duty, Weatherproof Galvanized Steel Sheet L Brackets with Smooth Edges - Ideal for DIY Furniture Fixations & Corner - Box 50 - AJFixings Timber Hex Head Exterior Green Decking Frame Fixing Screws (150mm) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/208343041-10-x-flat-mending-plates-for-wood-joining-plates-160](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/208343041-10-x-flat-mending-plates-for-wood-joining-plates-160) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
