It fits odd openings and does not require much force to push. The head does not offer much push resistance. This puppy works great! **Q: Does this have a lip that traps water?** A: Hello, an effective plunger has to have a method for storing some water inside the bulb in order to prime and seal the plunger to the bowl. This plunger does not have the inverted lip that I believe you are referring to. I guess if you somehow got the bottom part of the bulb inverted upwards, you'd have a mess, but that is not how this plunger is designed to work. If used properly, the water will not become trapped inside the bulb. It's great on my toilet drain design which is round and a 1.6 gal flow. It is not designed to be intentionally inverted on the bottom of the bulb in order to use on a sink or tub. I hope this helps. **Q: Has anyone found a plunger house/cover that fits this? I bought the InterDesign one but it is too small** A: My solution was to buy a "Graff 7.95 in. x 7.08 in. Resin Planter with Saucer" at Home Depot (less than $5.00). The taper design of the planter is very important. The Korky Toilet Plunger is about 6 inches in diameter so it will rest about 1/2 way down inside and sit securely upright in the planter. This allows me to keep the Korky Toilet Plunger next to the toilet and ready for use.
