Instead, I got these for the sole purpose of using them as reusable napkins for my on-the-go utensil kit. I think they're great as such and aren't as thick as some reusable kitchen towels, so they fit in a utensil kit/lunchbox much easier. They should also help in a pinch for a small spill (i.e., you spill a bit of ketchup or similar sauce/condiment). As handkerchiefs, they should also do the job just fine if that's what you're looking to use them for. They dry easily and quickly after washing, and the dyes don't fade quickly despite being natural. I also use them to clean my stove top. They are NOT full sized dish towels for drying wet dishes.They work perfectly and I have completely replaced all of my disposable smelly sponges with them. They are easy to clean, I wash them with my regular towel load when they are dirty and I hang them to dry. I bought them for the purpose of drying off dishes, which doesn't work very well, hence the 1-star taken off of the rating.
