The meter would register about "1 line high" near the wires BUT it would also cause the meter to blink the same on places on the wall where there was absolutely no elec wires! I did the test both using the regular setting and also the Supper Sensitive setting. So MAYBE it MIGHT give you some idea where the wires are, but doubtful since there are to many false readings to be sure.
