In order to dry the buckwheat hulls after the pillow had gone through the wash and rinse cycles, I took them out of the pillow casing and spread them to dry. Once dried, they were stuffed back into the pillow. So they can be washed and reused. . If I thought they had reached the end of their usefulness, I would put them into my compost.
