Sound quality is an improvement over stock, but I have to say the bass isn't as recognizable with these speakers. My guess is, OE speakers are utility-like- in other words they perform every sound OK. These speakers sound a lot clearer and louder for treble and seem to want to be paired with a subwoofer to really sound awesome.
