Does not require drilling or tapping to create a solid mount to the receiver. All necessary hardware included. Mounts the sight closer to the shooter's eye, giving the shooter a sight picture similar to the M1 Garand and M16 military rifles. Increases the sighting radius by 8" and increases potential accuracy over the stock factory sight mounted in front of the receiver. Returns to zero after removal (after field stripping for example.) Uses incremental windage adjustment with rugged detent locking. The sight base is constructed of high strength aluminum and Hard Coat Anodized to Military Specifications. also uses steel components finished with Military Specification Manganese Phosphate. Patented design. Patent #US 7,882,655 B1. Although the sights have been designed to fit most AK 47s and variants we cannot guarantee that they will fit every individual rifle, such as unusual variations. You can return them if this is the case. Also available on Amazon for the AKs is the AK100Y which has a Flip combat style, short/long range aperture. Both the AK100Y and the AK200Y sights have advantages, depending on the shooter preference. Imported and USA parts. Color is pure black.
