Like the original, This 64-voice module serves up 1, 024 of Roland best drum and percussion sounds and 262 backing instruments with newly created drum kits and patterns in the latest music styles. Dual-trigger tom inputs allow for rim shots on toms* (using Roland pd-8 pads), while large, luminous buttons make the TD-6V very easy to use. TD-6V tom inputs are single trigger with pd-85 or similar mesh pads. The TD-6V Module serves up 1, 024 of Roland best drum and percussion sounds and 262 backing instruments – Complete with 99 drum kits and 170 patterns in the latest musical styles. Users can first listen to the patterns with the drum part as an example, and then mute it to play along. The TD-6V also lets players record their drumming, so they can play it back for evaluation. Drummers can create their own custom drum kits and store them to user memory, or add EQ and ambience effects to beef up the sound. There’s even a 6-part sequencer that’s great for jamming and practice with backing tracks. The TD-6V sports a black case and blue LCD screen that’s easy to read under any lighting condition. Luminous rubber buttons make selecting different kits and editing sounds and effects quick and intuitive. Even those new to electronic percussion will find this module easy to understand. I don't recommend using non-roland pads on any Roland modules. **Q: The product is missing a cable needed to connect it. And they tryed to connect it with another cable, but it didn't work.** A: If you are questioning an item purchased from a seller you should contact that seller directly. **Q: Will this work with my td-1k drums?** A: Some parts may work but I wouldn't recommend it. The TD-1K kit pads are designed to use their proprietary module and the TD6V does not have assigned trigger types for the TD1K pads. If you are going to upgrade the module to a TD6V you are better off upgrading your pads as well.
