The magnet is very strong and holds the screws much better than I expected. At first I thought this was just another small tool accessory, but now I use it all the time. It helps a lot when working fast or in tight places because the bit feels more stable and I drop way fewer screws. It saves time, makes the job cleaner, and honestly makes the work easier. These small upgrades make a big difference when you use your tools daily. I tried cheaper similar options before and they didn’t feel as solid. ## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do they make this size magnet, but already has a hex shank so it can use any (even standard/short) screw bit?**
A: Yes. You can buy the new version separately Makita B-35097 or it comes in set B-3183. I have the older version that came in Makita 
B-27159 which I like better than the new version. I prefer it over this version because it allows you to use any 1” driver tip regardless of brand and works great. Where this one is proprietary and only works with specific Makita 2” bits

**Q: will this fit onto dewalt flextorq bits?**
A: No, it won't. I tried it, it doesn't fit.

**Q: Just bought this and it doesn't fit screw drivers. Can someone recommend a magnetic add on (not magnetizer) that I can put on any screw driver?**
A: You have to buy the Makita brand tips for this to work properly... They are better than other screw driver tips...but You get what you pay for.... Good Luck...

**Q: Will this work on a no. 2 philips screw driver?**
A: I could not use it because the #2 tip only sticks out in front of the magnet about 3/16 of an inch which is ok if all you do is drywall or other flush drive applications. But you can’t countersink a screw when you want or need to. 
It did not work for me.

Love this on my bits. Fasteners stay right on the tip with this. Wish I'd have known about this a while ago. Definitely worth using. Small enough to stay out of the way, but strong enough to keep the largest screws on the end of your bits.
