It is certainly nicely packaged. I'd never used silk tea bags, so that was a little different. Instinct told me they wouldn't biodegrade in the compost, but the product information says they will, so I'm hopeful. They are stronger than regular tea bags, so I'm able to really squeeze the lingering moisture into my cup. I do get several cups from each bag and the taste is not bad. It's soothing. I chose to use these once or twice daily and keep the used ones in a sealed container to preserve them. It's worked well.
