They're magnetic hall-effect sensors. Connect voltage and ground, and then connect the signal pin to a digital header. Like other HE sensors, one side detects north magnetic polarisation, and the other detects south magnetic polarisation.I've personally used them for window and door sensors with ESPHome (running on an ESP32 controller), making them ideal to integrate with Home Assistant. Cheaper than commercial sensors, significantly smaller, possible to connect multiple sensors to a single board, and no cloud service harvesting the open/closed state of the sensors. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent sensor for Arduino/Pi makers *by C***N on 11 November 2023* This little sensor from AZDelivery is excellent in operation.I have used these in positional sensing applications and found them surprisingly accurate and repeatable.I use miniature or small button magnets on my target mechanism which dependent on the magnet size/power can activate the sensor at 20mm distance. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rapid delivery *by V***S on 20 August 2020* Bought the Hall effect sensor from ADZ Delivery who promised a rapid delivery and an e-book (written in perfect English ,for those who wondered) on setup and code to use it on different platforms.
