Review: Great Price! Great Fit! Nice sound! - Purchased this side exhaust system for a 1966 Mercury Comet Station Wagon that I'm restoring as a mild custom. It was an excellent fit, and was less than half the cost of a full, rear-exit system! Not only does the system install easy and look cool, but it also sounds great- nice rumble without any high speed droning or noise. The length I purchased allowed the system to start at the front edge of the front door and exit just in front of the rear wheel. Not hot or noisy for either the front or rear passengers. You can adjust the rear tips to face downward to lessen sound if you wish. The only modification I had to do was relocate some of the heat shield mounting holes based on where I fitted the system on the rocker panel. Definitely would be again.
Review: Great side pipes - These are perfect. They look amazing and wer packaged well. I only saw a few scratches. I'm more concerned about my legs gearing burnt....well it's the look of the car not the pain we feel. I may buy another set for another car I'm working on!

**Q: how close to ground effects or paint can they mount without getting too hot? and how much ground clearance do you loose?**
A: Be careful with any ground effects. Side pipes get HOT.

**Q: What is the pipe size ?**
A: 3 inch pipes

**Q: Im looking to put this on my jeep wrangler would there be any problems ? or would i have to modify them**
A: If you’re frequently rock crawl I wouldn’t recommend this. You’re more than likely to wack your pipes on a rock and dent them. If you don’t crawl that often then I’d say go for it and post pictures ‘cause I’m really curious how they’d look on a Wrangler

**Q: Hi will the pipes fit a 2001 plymouth prowler**
A: The hangers for this exhaust mount to the frame.  I assume the Prowler is a uni-body so there would be no frame to mount the hangers to.  You may have to get creative as far as mounting.  Also, with catalytic converters you would need to run exhaust from behind the converters back up to the front for entrance into the side pipe.  Would not be a simple install like on my Corvette.

this is a well made product except for the sheet metal mounting bolts. i replaced them with some slightly longer ones from the local hardware store. the pictures show a 60 inch patriot exhaust system mounted on a 72 el camino. it measures around 59 inches from the rear tip, to the outside of the chrome inlet pipe, please see pictures. i should have ordered 70 inch set up for my camino, as it ends right at the end of the doors, but still looks great and gives the car a real good 70's look. make sure you order the universal hook up kit.
