I have an apple shape body type.This was cute for the Ren fair and I paired with with a waspie belt I got here on Amazon as well.I will say I could had probably sized down and the back hit right close to the high end of my ankles.To top part is more stretchy so if you’re busty don’t worry there will be room.The waist does not have as much stretch but has a zipper which I did not have to use it just slid on over my head easily. There was too. In the waist area for me and I feel I could had sized down.There are VERY long laces for the waist and arms (I had to have someone do my arms). So it being loose around the waist was not a big deal I feel it was an extra 2-4 inches loose.If you are the type of lady who is pair shaped or hour glass the 1x/2x may work.I will order it in a size down and try to update my review based on that.Over all it was cute the only main issue besides it being a little loose on me was there was a small hole in the front skirt part. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for costume or renassiance wear! *by H***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2018* I am 5'9 and a size 18/20. I was really concerned with the sizing as a lot of reviews posted about issues. I originally bought this in the black color for a pirate costume and bought it in a 3X/4X. It was way too big. Without a belt or something on, I felt like a potato. I was able to just slip over my head. No need for the zipper. The Sleeves were also beyond big, and I have HUGE arms. It came down to about the knee in the front and the tops of my ankles in the back.I then repurchased in a size 1X/2X in the burgundy color and love it! I still didn't have to use the zipper, but it is a little more form fitting around my tummy. It doesn't feel like it's going to fall off, but it isn't hip hugging either. I got a medium and fits perfectly. It has a side zipper so it's pretty form fitting although in picture and description I thought it would be loose. Has the look of loose but actually is fitted. Reviews are correct in saying material is thin/see thru - I have a mini slip under it on in this picture which works great but you can kind of see my bra lines on top so I may wear a different bra. Not too bad if you were some where with low lighting but if not I think you would definitely need a slip. Picture was taken as soon as It arrived and directly from the shipping box.
