These will fit in the JL 8.8 cutouts but they are close screw hole wise. The screw holes are close to 8.8 edge but work fine as long as your hole isn't a butcher job. Are they JL sound and bass quality of the 8.8s no, absolutely not. But do they sound great especially for the money. Audio was clear even at high volume but lacking that JL bass and start to distort a a much lower volume than the 8.8 at same amp settings. Took some bass out and they are lound and clear.
