Latex is bouncy - it compresses to exactly the right place and regains its shape as soon as the pressure is off. It is also naturally cooling. This makes it quite different from memory foam which traps your head in one position and is very hot, or pillows filled with chips of foam that shift around. Latex pillows don't last forever, but my original RejuveNite lasted for 12 years, which is not bad, even for a pillow this expensive. I have used the Purple Pillow, which I like a lot, but it is really heavy and ridiculously expensive. The RejuveNite is much better. Not recommended for people who are allergic to latex. (and started at $100.00) So I found it on desertcart and ordered one for me and my boyfriend right away. They are incredibly comfy. I am not one to spend 70.00 on a pillow. And will say, these are well worth it! We've been using them for a few days now and are so very happy with them! Best sleep in a while. As some reviews said, straight out of the bag it does have a slight weird smell, I am guessing from the latex. I just left it out for a few hours to air out before putting on the pillow cover and pillow case. That night, it was fine. Some reviews said it was too soft, I don't think so. I received mine but i do not see a tag like my previous ones that says rejuvenite.** A: I had a severe allergic reaction to the pillow and have sent them back. I have no allergy to latex but whatever chemical they use to prepare the pillows has a very mild odor. I tried to sleep with it one night and had respiratory problems within a couple of hours. This ad says both different places.** A: I thought it was Talala since it looked like the original pillow I purchased 10 years ago. To make sure you might email their customer service Rejuvenite. I contacted them regarding a lower loft pillow and they answered me within 24 hours. **Q: Is the pillow heavy?** A: It weighs more than a poly fill pillow but less than a memory foam pillow. It's not super high but it was too high for me(stomach sleeper). I prefer a 5 inch thick pillow. This is more like 7 or 8 inches high I think. (Didn't measure it) It is soft & bouncy(supportive) without flattening out during sleep. I didn't notice an offensive odor, maybe a light scent but nothing bad. Upon opening it became full sized within minutes. I only gave it 4 stars because IMHO it is not for stomach sleepers. It would be great for side sleepers.
