I’ve owned several different pulse/ox devices over the years and I can say that this one is the best of the bunch. I actually came back to Amazon tonight to order a second one so that i’ll have a backup, especially since I’m doing a lot of travel these days, mostly long cruises of at least 21 days. It uses AAA batteries which are easy to find almost everywhere. And it’s not a battery ”hog” -- the first set if batteries lasted about 18 months of daily use, checking my numbers 2 or 3 times a day. AND it’s staying accurate. I’ve taken it to my doctor's office twice a year to compare with my doctor’s pulse/ox and it’s almost always exactly the same or at most 1-2 points lower than my doc’s.It’s still a 5-star item.Original review:This is a newer version of an AccuMed Pulse Oximeter I've been using for several years. I would recommend it to anyone who has breathing issues, whether from asthma, COPD, or other lung conditions. It is simple enough that anyone can use it. The accuracy also seems to be on spot. I have checked my pulse rate compared to the reading on my Fitibit and the readings are right in line. The unit comes with a nylon storage case, batteries, and a lanyard.
