The narrow pointed jaws of these pliers were able to grasp the dime thick portion of the cone washer sticking out of the well and I was able to twist and wiggle it breaking it free and more easily removing it. As with the rest of the Cobra line these pliers are easily adjusted with a push button mechanism that has a finer and in my opinion much better design than a traditional slip groove plier. The steel used to cast these pliers seems to be of very high quality, far superior to Chinese and even most American tool steel. The teeth of these pliers are exceptionally sharp and have proven very durable, they bite into grade 8 fasteners and hardened castings and do not release until you do. I've turned bolts as large as 3/4in and never did I feel the handle flex or twist even under my full 180lb body weight. I can not say the same about other pliers I've owned.
