It features the perfect amount of cushioning and stiffness. Its soft but still holds its firmness and support for an individual to sit on it without compressing the foam too much. Compression = firmness compression not density is what determines firmness. If you don't want a cushion that's hard as a rock or a mattress that sinks when you sit on it, you have to check the compression or ild number. Compression means the number of pounds necessary to compress a piece of foam 25% and still bounce back to the original thickness. For example, a 4" thick piece of foam that requires 33 lbs. To pack it down 1" and have it return to its full 4" thickness has a 33 lb. Compression rating or ild -indention load deflection. - All foam sheets are sold per sheet - not per yard. Do not open with a box cutter use a ball point pen or a pencil. Start by making a little incision and break it from there - durability : will last 7 to 10 years. ## Features - Polyurethane - 100% recovery rate/fire retardant - Size : 3" thick x 24" wide x 72" long - Uses : ideal for oval and round poker tables, furniture cushions, boat cushions, car cushions and foam - Density : 1.8 , 44Lb compression - Packaging Info: All foam is sold per sheet and your package may come vacuum packed, rolled, or compressed. The electric knife is much like a bread knife, serrated, long & narrow. Not so sure any kind of wood saw would work, but what might also work if you're careful is a soldering iron. Make a line with a felt tip pen to be your guide for a straight line. If you don't have an electric knife, you might try finding one at Goodwill or the likes. It isn't until you've cooked the fam a few turkeys or big roasts you find out what a labor saving device it really is! **Q: What would be good, medium or high density, for use on a couch to increase the height and comfort, so I can sleep on it after my hip replacement?** A: I have this answer foe sure I used high density I love it but it is a little too firm after a hip replacement use the medium you pick the height by the thickness of the foam you buy. I sleep on it every night because of a bad back. It has been a year and it is still perfect **Q: If I put the 2' foam under my current cusions will it make them firmer and add to the height? Also, will the foam show when you look at the couch?** A: That's just what I did with the foam...added it the family room and basement couch cushions. It did add height & made the cushion a lot firmer. I used my current couch cushions as a template & cut the foam just slightly smaller (probably less than 1/4 inch smaller) so that it would be easier to stuff the new cushion in with the old & so that it wouldn't show. **Q: How long does it take the smell to go away?** A: Mine both definitely smelled strongly ## Frequently Bought Together - FoamTouch 3"x24"x72" high Density Polyurethane Foam, 3 x24 x72 inches, White - GoTo Foam 1" Height x 24" Width x 72" Length 44ILD (Firm) Upholstery Cushion Made in USA - Upholstery Dacron Batting Polyester Cushion Wrap (36 Wide (5 Yards)) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/19227624-3x24x72-high-density-polyurethane-foam-3-x24-x72-inches-white](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/19227624-3x24x72-high-density-polyurethane-foam-3-x24-x72-inches-white) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
