I held down the top of the battery housings so I wouldn't accidentally rip them off the board, and used a small flat head screwdriver to lift the tabs. Needle-nose pliers would probably work better, but I had the screwdriver handy. Once you have lifted the tabs, push the battery from the opposite end of the opening and they should slide right out. The battery that's located right next to the speaker, will need to be slid out at an angle, but there should be enough clearance. Next! You'll need new batteries! Three LR1130 batteries, to be precise. I ordered mine right here from desertcart, they're pretty cheap. Once you have those, just slide them into place, close the tabs, and make sure you're in a well lit room. The audio device is light activated.
