I use it in the basement and made a bar that I screwed into one of the exposed floor joists overhead. I made the bar from some 3/4 pluming supplies (24" pipe, a pair of elbows, pair of nipples, and a pair of flanges, screwed into the joist with construction screws). It took a minute to figure out how to thread the straps and adjust them, but you really only have to do that once. But overall it does the job perfectly. I'm 185lbs and I have no worries about it supporting my weight. I find that it works better to keep my arms up (I hold the bar above me) and it's much more comfortable that way.
