As I was adding two new lines to my drainfield my existing concrete box needed to move or be replaced. Not for the faint of heart but I did it. The old concrete junction box was still intact but sustained a crack when I picked it up with the mini. No worries, I was already planning to replace it with the Tuf-Tite. Since the original box was over 20 years old I wanted to replace it and this looked like the best way to go. The box was just the right size for my 2" transport line in and one 4" outlet to the drainfield line. It is very light and easy to work with but strong enough to hold up to some abuse. Much better than luggin around a concrete box. Once it was surrounded by soil it became very rigid and I'm not too worried about it holding up. Since I did not use all the ports I had to order some plugs that are also available on desertcart which worked perfectly. Glad they were available separately. The lid is now on and it will get covered with 6-8 inches of soil. Construction wise, it’s thin, flimsy and seals are equally cheap and somewhat questionable but, they work. This box would work perfectly in a situation where to user can reinforce this with concrete on the exterior. In this case, this is a quick and easy mold for a perfect, long lasting septic installation. The box I received did not come with blanks to close off any unused holes. Perhaps a piece of pipe with a cap would suffice to block off one. The lid also is thin plastic and may require some additional reinforcement. I would purchase this again if I had to.
