Review: Seems well built, and a nice low profile. Nice long cable for installation options. - I got a GMRS radio as a gift, and I didn't want to use the antenna that came with it - was looking for a more permanent solution. This, plus a +3dB gain stub antenna seemed to be the right solution for my Tacoma. The hood mount part fits well - there is a slight gap towards the middle, but I don't see any vibration. I used a little bit of paint protective film between the mount and my paint to just be extra sure, since I don't plan on taking this thing off any time soon. Running the cable through a vehicle is some work. The reading I did suggested that you not run it through the firewall, because it can interfere with other wiring that is going through there. So, I went under, along the frame, and up through a grommet behind the rear passenger seat, back under the carpet to the dash, through the dash and up to a mount on top of the dash. With all of that, I still had an extra foot or two of cable, so I was fine with the length. I was honestly surprised that I didn't need to extend, given the route I took. If you go that way, make sure to tuck behind heat shielding, because I would expect that this kind of cable would melt. Finally - one thing to note that I didn't figure out until just about the end of my several hours of work: the connector end (coax) actually comes off really easily and goes back on really easily. That makes running cable a LOT easier. I wish I had figured that out *before* running this thing under the carpet and through the dash, but hey, it worked anyway. :-D
Review: Easily Mounted and Ready to Go in Minutes! You Get What You Pay For (High Quality) - I've now learned that in the amateur radio space, you really get what you pay for... I started my mobile setup using a Bingfu magnet mounted high gain antenna and mount that came in under the $40 price point. I was disgusted with the fact that I couldn't get out any further than up the street from my house. Since upgrading to this mount (which works EXCELLENT in between the bottom of my back glass and the trunk top on my 2005 Corolla), I now have above satisfctory reception and transmission - and pairing this mount with the Midland MXTA25 3DB MicroMobile Compatible Gain Ghost Antenna, I can now get out hitting a range of over 3 miles in not so ideal terrain (simplex with large hills and valleys). After a quick installation time of under 10 minutes, I was testing almost instantly - and I was VERY IMPRESSED... The mount is very secure using the two set screws included and it survived highway speeds traveling in thunderstorms with no leaks and no movement whatsoever. At the head of my GMRS setup is my Radioddity DB20-G. This mount has a durable construction with thick paint that I don't see chipping or erroding anytime soon. The highest praise goes out to Midland for their quality craftsmanship on their durably built mount that enables me to communicate effectivley. I highly recommend this mount for anyone seeking a nice mount for those tight and hard to reach places. Definitely a 5-Star mount - and it opens the door for more NMO antennas down the road. My advice: don't skimp on spending - learn from my mistake and save money in the long run by making this mount one of your top considerations. I'll report back later, but for now I'm overly pleased!!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works very well with some adjustments
*by K***N on September 1, 2023*

As others have stated once your tighten down the set screws it won't sit flat but with some minor adjustments it will, I paired this with my stubby midland antenna and love it. The range is surprisingly decent and covers my town and parts outside of it. (Volunteer FD) this little mount makes wiring super easy with the removable large plug that goes into the radio itself and was a Breez to fish through the firewall of my jeep.
