Review: Great ac the fan speed is wonderful high speed than the top speed of old Blows ice cold too. - As advertised delivered promptly and minor small issue it was dropped which made the assembly windows frame bent. Used old mounting frame from previous unit to rectify it. Not sellers fault! The unit itself was great and no issues. Cools way better than expected.
Review: Best alternative to portable AC for side sliding windows - Had to do some slight window sill modification and the unit didn't seem to have a drain hole for the pan but a hole here and some trimming of the sill and a whole lotta heavy duty gorilla tape sealing it all off and ta-da! This thing works perfectly and cools my ancient little apartment that has absolutely zero insulation fantastically! Wish I had found this 4 years earlier as I have struggled with those horrible portable ac units with their gigantic hoses and miserable heat disapation. I've spent about $2,000 on portable AC over the last 4 years and this unit is beyond any of them! There's a near constant stream of water coming from my makeshift drain hole as the compressor sure builds up water but other than that I have no concerns! Best bang for you buck if you have a drill and sharp bit on hand, maybe a dremel would work too for the sill if you need. Will add photos soon

### ⭐ Faulty Unit - Terrible Customer Service, Poor Amazon Support

I ordered this unit months before I needed it to prepare for the summer. Installation was straight forward, shipping was fine, etc. When the temperatures climbed up into the low 90s, everything was fine, but as soon as we got above 100 F, the compressor couldn't hack it. It would shut down after about 10 minutes of run time and need half an hour to cool off and kick back on. I put a remote thermometer probe next to the compressor so I could monitor the temperatures and establish a pattern as to when it kicked on / kicked off. Anytime the compressor got above 115F, it would shut itself off. In Phoenix, where our average July/Aug temperatures are in the 110-120 range this obviously isn't going to fly. This is an AC unit that needs to dissipate the heat it creates in cooling and when the compressor can't even run in the outside ambient temperature it can do its job. On paper there is a 1 year manufacturer warranty that states they will replace the entire unit with a NIB one, once, if the original fails within the year. The instructions are to return it to where the unit was purchased and the retailer will handle the exchange. I contacted Amazon and had a very condescending conversation with an Amazon rep about how I needed to go through the manufacturer for a faulty unit since it had been more than 90 days since I bought it (shame on me for being proactive, I should have waited until summer was here then Amazon would have handled it). Irritated, but unperturbed, I sent an email off to the customer service email of Perfect Aire explaining the situation. A week later Sean from Perfect Aire replied back asking some basic installation questions and needing copies of my invoice. I sent these off the same day and have not heard back, even after two follow up emails and a phone call. It's now 3 weeks since I heard from Sean, a month since contacting Amazon and it has become clear to me neither party will take responsibility and I'm off to contest the charges with my bank.
