TEKTON Combination Wrench Set, 9-Piece (8-16 mm) - Keeper | 18785

I purchased these as a beginner set of wrenches in 2015 not knowing (or expecting) they’d still be going strong today. I have 2 sets of the metric and 2 sets of the standard, so 4 sets total. I think I paid around $30 a set back in the day with promo codes, so this is easily one of the best investments I have made regarding garage tools. THEY.ARE.THAT.GOOD. I see they are around $58~ today 5 years later, and I would still say that’s a heck of a deal considering the quality and durability, not to mention that everything has increased in price since them. I have used these wrenches at least weekly (sometimes every day for a month straight). I have accidentally left them on the garage floor, outside in the snow/rain/mud covered grass, and I have frequently used the 16-22mm’s as breaker bars on each other (to the point where I could see them stretching) when I needed more torque to remove pesky bolts that were stuck. I’ve spilled every automotive oil, lubricant, fluid, and cleaner known to man on them at one point or another. I have been very hard on these wrenches, and they have no business holding up how they did. The crazy thing is, they still look BRAND NEW too. No rust, they’re perfectly straight, shiny, and smooth, and they have no stripped or misshaped ends. They still fit bolts as snug as the day I got them. I did soak them with WD-40 then wipe them down with a cloth in the summer of 2017 to remove some oxidation after they sat outside for 2 weeks, other than that I’ve done nothing to protect or clean them. I really recommend these wrenches. I honestly think they’re going to last me my entire lifetime. I have a few other Tekton hand tools I bought in the same order that are still going strong also, they’re definitely a higher quality brand without the high quality prices. I’m not convinced there are nicer wrenches out there, only more expensive ones. This is the best deal for your hard earned money. 5 STARS!!!

The wrenches are as I expected - solid feel and sturdy. I love that this set has no skips in it's range, meaning every size is represented from 8mm-22mm. I bought these as a travel set of tools to keep in my wife's vehicle but used them the first day I had them while replacing the CV axles on her GX470. They worked great with the common sizes I needed for that job. No issues compared to my other combination wrenches from other brands. The case is thick, durable canvas and it fits this wrench set perfectly. Each pocket is labelled so there's no confusion if you have multiple wrenches out at once. Overall, a great set for the price, especially if you want the included case. I would have spent $20+ on just a case like the one that comes with this set.

I'm purely a home mechanic and I do my own maintenance and repairs on my own vehicles, from oil changes to bearings and seals. Pretty much anything that doesn't require a machine shop or lift. I received these wrenches as a Christmas gift from my in-laws. At first look, the finish is nice and bright, and the tools look well engineered. The box end's "splines" look well formed and should grip fasteners well. The shape of the shank feels comfortable in my hand, almost similar to tool truck brand wrenches. It would be nice if they offered more of a flank drive on the open end, but for the price, they should work just fine for me. The wrench organizer is made of a hard rubber/plastic material and securely holds the set and keeps them well organized. I had to trim both of them to fit inside my short Craftsman tool chest drawers. I have already used them on a messy job of replacing some rusted hub assemblies on a old jeep. They gripped the bolt heads well and no problems loosening all the stubborn fasteners. After the job they cleaned up easily with some degreaser and a shop rag. I think they're excellent quality and work just fine as long as you don't care about the status of having the Gucci brand tools.

I’ve looked for a complete set of good combination wrenches in metric and SAE for a few months. After a lot of research into my options I choose these. I wanted a good tool, but I didn’t have the money to buy a S/K or Snap-on set. I’m just a do-it-yourselfer at home weekend grease warrior. The fit/finish and feel of these tools is very good. The only problem I had with the set was that the finish on the open ended side of the 22mm wrench was badly scratched. I assume the wrench just slipped by QC because the rest of the wrenches were great. I contacted Tekton through their website, and within an hour customer service emailed me back saying that they are sending me a replacement wrench, and that I could keep the scratched wrench as a backup. I heard Tekton’s customer service was stellar, but I just witnessed it first hand. I will definitely be purchasing more Tekton tools in the future. **Updated 9-11-18** I just received my replacement wrench yesterday, and it looks great. I must say that I am blown away by Tekton’s commitment to its customers by standing behind its product 100%. In my opinion Tekton is better than what Craftsman tools used to be back when Craftsman was the gold standard for the do-it-yourselfer.

Normally, I buy old American made tools because I believe they are better quality but it is very hard to find a metric set as they mostly used standard back in the day. Being a do it yourself guy, I don't need tools like snap-on but I do want quality for a decent price. I think tekton tools are excellent. These wrenches are very nice and I have confidence that they will hold up for a life time. The fit on them is good. The finish looks really good other then a few little marks here and there from production. I like the holder. In fact, I put the whole set inside my tool box as the holder is perfect for that. I would recommend these wrenches to anyone.

get it in 2 days and they are awsome.. didnt use them alot but for home use they are enough good quality and really beautifol. i recommend this product.

El acabado cromado que tienen es muy agradable, las compré por $854 así que ya tienen una base de precio al que llega a bajar. No es la primer herramienta de esta marca que compró, y la razón es por su buena calidad y precio respetable. Pro: Largo: el tamaño es adecuado para el tipo de tornillo o tuerca que vayas a remover. En ningún lado encontraras una tuerca 8 demasiado apretada, así que no afecta mucho el largo. Las llaves más grandes tienen un buen tamaño para aplicar más fuerza. Peso: no son completamente ligeras y el metal se siente de buena calidad, así que puedes usarlas sin miedo a que se rompan. Funda: depende de los gustos, a mí me gusta tener alguna herramienta en el carro, así que la funda ayuda mucho para que no estén regadas. Si las quieres para uso diario en un taller, entonces es mejor comprar la que tiene su bandeja y así ponerlas en tu cajón de herramientas o guardar la funda para cuándo se ofrezca. Cons: El tamaño no va aumentando gradualmente. Ejep. después de la llave 15, la 16 tiene el largo de la 14 aproximadamente. La 19 casi el tamaño de la 17, y así. Espero que les sea de ayuda mi reseña, actualizaré si tengo algún problema.

El acabado se siente de excelente calidad, y al trabajar con las llaves se sienten muy bien y muy resistentes. Estoy muy contento con el producto.

Tekton wrenches have become my new favorite box end wrenches. High quality and nice feel with great looks at a super affordable price. The feel of these wrenches are very nice and the polished finish awesome. I've re-equipped several tool carts and boxes with these metric and imperial wrench sets and couldn't be happier. My newest sets in the cloth roll up pouches are THE perfect setup for my race cars where I can have them portable inside our pit bike in case we need in pre-grid and when in use can be spread out next to the car for daily nut and bolt checks. I have multiple sets of Proto, Craftsman, Jet over 40 years of collecting tools and now I'm adding and replacing with Tekton as I'm super impressed with this brand.
